Information about the updates are also written down to the smallest detail. 21.03.14 Report dead link option added With every full entry an "Report dead link" option has been added. Opening an advanced script allowing you to send a complain to TheFileZone[BOT] The BOT itself is a special account dealing with our users private messages once a week. The verified entry button With every full entry, there will be a green verified button if users commented that the file actually works or have been tested. The FAQ page has been opened FAQ page is a good place to get the answer to all your questions or problems releated to our website. Be sure to check our our FAQ, before asking our staff members questions you have. If the topic you seek is not there, feel free to send in a suggestion of topic(s) to be added! 22.03.14  Basic Rules button and a Full Page Rules added The add entry page there are a red button with 3 main rules you need to know before you can add a file. Also there has been a page added with all the site rules: http://www.thefilezone.net/index/0-2 Verified or non verified user Button added In every add entry there will be a green verified button or a red unverified button so that you know if your account is verified or not, and what limitations you have if you're not verified. How to upload Button added Every add entry will have a red "How to upload" button that will redirect you to our tutorial page. Request Button added  Almost every page will have a request button that will send you to the official request page. FAQ Page mainpage Alot of new FAQ's where you can learn from. 23.04.14 Private message system   A small update has been done, the private message system has been updated and are looking very cool and user friendly! Staff update A new update has been made to make it easier for staff members to manage entries. 1) To view inactive entries (entries made by regular users ) and therefore need to be reviewed and activated, we made this  The RED hover button and button on the right indicates that this particular entry is not activated yet. All staff with the correct permissions will see this and be able to activate this entry after review. 2) There is also a button in your small profile page that will redirect you to a build in page with ALL inactive entries.This is how it looks like.  3) to activate an entry as staff member you will see a checkmark button in the full entry page , click the checkmark if you checked the entry for mistakes, if you found a mistake, like for example an advertisement or a wrong torrent link press the blue pencil key to modify the entry or the red cross to remove it.  User update Users will have some other buttons on the upload pages with info and their user status. But instead of copy pasting a torrent link they need to upload the torrent to our servers, this will be easier for staff members to access the file. 24.03.14 Advanced chat  We now have an advanced chat in our forums. Basic Forum Re-design  And a Basic Forum Re-design. Profile Page Design  Basic v.1.1 Design of our Profile page is done. You have the ability view your profile information and you are able to use more options , if you enabled it. we also implemented our first example of achievements on the profile page. 25.04.14 YouTube Channel!   We opened a youtube channel so please subscribe and like our videos. Since we opened a youtube channel we also added a new feature where i worked on for a few hours. a youtube video button on every entry. See the pictures above. 31.03.14 1) User to Uploader Manual group change - Normal users with low user permission in for example adding files to The File Zone are able to manually upgrade their user account from User to Vertified User. # Requirements are that you need to have: - 10 non spam comments on files - 25 Files added that are activated after moderation. - 25 posts in forum ( after these requirements a button will appear on the users their profile , where they can activate their account ) Note: this means that automatic group transfer has been disabled and only users with the right requirements are able to upgrade their accounts. this prevents spam files and more.. 2) Activity on your topics feature BETA - This is a basic feature where users will be able to see who posted in their topics and where the latest activity was. It looks like this:  3) the whole new Profile design - we applied a brand new design on your profile and we got rid of the old fashion design , this profile design is also a BETA version and will need some future updates too but its ready to use. Check your profile to look at the new design. 4) New Notification function scripted - Users will now get notified after approval of their added file It will look like this:  5) We have a new editor that is more functional and user friendly  6) All future files that will be added are download able for guests also. this will make our site more user friendly and hopefully more active |
